It depends on what exactly you are willing to buy. There are malls where you can buy whatever you want. If you are talking about buying food stuff then there are a lot of grocery stores.

To me the entire central district is a big mall

Go to "Bouchara" Address 17 bis rue de l'Eau Blanche
It's a nice department stores with lots of boutiques, so no problem to find whatever you want
