many boarding places in france are smelly dumps!
shared bathrooms, and let just say their bathroom sharing, cleaning skills are not what you may be used to.

if you are a teenager be ready to be harrassed by a lot of old men in the city and public places.

driving is tough, so you may want to bring money for cabs.

learn a little french. some of the men can be quite rude if you don't use their language.
