Each neighborhood has its own special lights - a few years ago Montmartre, for example, had lights in the shape of little palettes. Check the site for the city of Paris (the name followed by .fr) and do a search on "lumieres de Noel Paris" and "vitrines de Noel Paris". The French used to be behind, say, New Yorkers in all this but now they have great fun with it.
