My partner and I are returning to Paris, the dates are 26Dec-03Jan. I wanted to know will the city shut down on New Years Day? In Houston pretty much everything is open. Just wanted to know if there will be any problems trying to get something to eat or whatever. I would greatly appriciate any information that can be offered.

Many restaurants will be open and have special menus for New Year Eve. Usually, it's about 100€. Don't forget to make a reservation, it's quite popular. One of my best restaurants : Moulin de la Galette, in Montmartre.
