Re: Cheapest way to travel from Paris to Interlaken?

If you travel by train, it would cost about € 90 to travel from Paris to Basel by TGV (Train a Grande Vitesse) and then switch to an ICE (Intercity Express) from Basel to Interlaken for an extra 22 Swiss Francs. The total travel time would be 5 hours and 27 minutes.
By coach, I checked with Eurolines. First you would head from Paris to Basel on a bus for 9 hours and 30 minutes at a cost of € 47 (or 43 if you book far enough out). From there, you would once again take the train to Interlaken at a cost of 22 Swiss Francs. Total travel time would be about 12 hours, considering time to get from bus to train.
So, to break it down you have the option of travelling for 12 hours, or for travelling 5 hours and 27 minutes at an extra cost of € 43.
