here are some nice tips:

for the restaurants just tri "place du marche saint honoré". It's a nice lace with a mix of old and modern architecture in the middle of Paris....and it's very central, so it's very easy to reach after a walk.

To see Paris at night which is very romantic, just try a night tour with "Paris Authentic" They can pick you up at the restaurant. The car is convertible and the drivers very friendly!

hope it will help you for your nice trip!

all the best

Celebrating your wife's 50th year with you in Paris will probably be one of the most unforgettable experiences you two will have as a couple. I mean Paris is not the city of lovers for nothing. The atmosphere, the laid back ambiance in the city will definitely be a experience to remember. As to your question, there are a couple of affordable restaurants in the area however I cannot atest to the taste of the meals being served. But i have heard of some reviews that the Le Gourmet des Ternes is the best place for good dining near that area..
