The Texture Artist will work closely with the Art Director and the Lead Texture Artist from project inception to finish and will have a significant role in establishing and maintaining the look of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting and maintaining visual standards
- Work closely with Art Director to establish look and feel
- Maintain milestones and production quality
- Conceptualize, design, execute and deliver high quality game-ready environments in a timely and dependable manner
- Commit to raising the quality bar of games art to its most achievable level
- Strive to be up to date with the latest modeling, texturing and lighting technologies and tools
- Collaborate with tools team in order to communicate needs, generate tool requests and initiate support designed to facilitate the artists workflow
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Experience with 3Dmax or Maya and Photoshop
- Ability to create 3d models of objects, characters and environments
- Exceptional ability in creation and application of texture maps
- Expertise in the application of UVW coordinates to meshes
- Proficiency in lighting environments
- Conceptual skills and strong knowledge of human anatomy are highly regarded
- 2+ years of game development production experience
- Able to focus and to manage ones own time in order to meet milestones
- Strong time management skills with an ability to juggle multiple assignments effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Fluency in English
Prerequisites:
A portfolio demonstrating the following is required:
- A strong ability to think in 3-D
- Strong fundamental skills
- Understanding of color theory
- Strong knowledge of and experience in texturing

- Experience with next-gen consoles
