Main Purpose of the Role
Our studio is looking for an Server Designer, who will be responsible for designing rules and data structures for our server system and gaming website.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and invent rules and data structures for our game server system.
Define and organize data-tracking and customer support tools for online games.
Understanding workflows to optimize UI for tools of customer support and data-tracking.
Provide guidance to other game designers and team members.
Interact and cooperate with Head of Design, UI Designers, Server Coders, QA and Customer Support.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Willing and able to design within technical and other constraints.
High technical affinity.
Moderate knowledge of SQL databases.
Self-managing for timely completion of issues.
Exceptional communication skills.
Proficiency in Flash a plus.
Experience Required:
Experienced with online games and systems.
UI design on at least one shipped title required.
Strong knowledge of interface design principles.
Experienced in game development or web design.
Experienced in creating clear and precise of design documents and diagrams.
Experience with console platform design a plus.
Familiarity with RTS designs a plus.
