My international Oil and Gas Operator client requires the services of an experienced Mechanical Engineer for this position based in Paris, France.

You responsibilities will include:

* Assisting the Lead Mechanical Engineer in supervising the execution of the Basic Engineering phase relating to rotating machinery.
* Basic Engineering to be executed through a CCFT / Design competition.
* Provide clear and consistent guidance to all of the CCFT Contractors on the scope of work and Company requirements. Care must be taken to ensure that competition between the Contractors is fair and that details of each of the Contractors designs remain confidential.
* Assist each of the Contractors to prepare technically acceptable bids with the constraints of the CCFT Basic Engineering schedule and budget.
* Ensure timely review of Contractors technical documents and derogation requests.
* Organize weekly and/or monthly co-ordination meetings with Engineering Contractor as appropriate.
* Ensure Engineering Contractor provides proper reporting of the progress of his activities.
