Job Description:
We are looking for an ambitious intern to help us develop our markets in France. The intern should be creative, intelligent, and able to demonstrate a record of achievement in his or her academic, personal and work life so far, plus have a strong interest in marketing.

Our challenge is to increase our readership in the French market without a large budget, and the intern will be responsible for implementing our marketing plans and giving input as to how we can succeed. The intern will also be closely involved in the planning, marketing and promotion of our upcoming “Welcome to France” exhibition, which will take place in the fall of 2005.


Requirements:
The internship will involve a lot of contact with international organisations, production and distribution of marketing materials, maintenance of contact databases and helping the team get the materials to the right people. The intern will also be responsible for assisting in the organization of Expatica events in France. Strong English is required; knowledge of French would be beneficial. Experience living abroad is an asset, particularly a familiarity with France and its capital. You must be internet literate and have strong computer skills in all Microsoft office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.)

We are a small company of 20 people spread out in several countries, but most (12) in Amsterdam. The workplace is informal, fun, and hard-working. We are ambitious, willing to try new things, open to ideas but determined to win in our market. This position will be very independent as you will be based in Paris, and work in coordination with our France marketing team in Amsterdam. The position may also require occasional travel.

We can offer a small stipend to cover expenses. The internship will initially be for a period of 6 months, and may be extended.
