Unusual Places In Paris

unusual places in Paris Posted 07 April 2011
I would love to hear your suggestions for unusual things to do in Paris:

Here are mine:

The Catacombs
The Argonaut Submarine museums
l'Espace Dali
The Smoking Museum
The Perfume Museum

I always tell people visiting to do something a bit different. These are just off the top of my head. I would also recommend choosing a neighborhood to stay in like the Marais or Bastille, rather than the obvious center. Too many tourists there!

Pere La Chaise and Montmartre Cemeteries are definitely a bit unusual and worth a good afternoon visit.

Viaduc des Arcs (?) just past Bastille is also a lovely and unexpected place for a walk.

Le Grand Action cinema in the 5th takes you back to the days before endless trailers and bucket sized popcorn portions.

Hi janie,
Thanks for listing unusual places in Paris but what is unusual about these places?
If you will upload some pictures of these places it would make your post best. People who didn't visit Paris or these places will come to know about these places. Thanks for any input.

The Arenas on Rude Monge. It looks like a recently constructed and abandoned something-or-other on the outskirts, but it is really the ruins of a Roman circus, dating back almost two thousand years.
