I will be going to Paris this summer. My husband has never been there, I have been once. Would it be better to stay right in the center of the city? I have found nice apartments on the metro one, and near Montmarte. We are staying for a week. Any suggestions/ insights welcome.

Excuse me Susan, could you clarify your question? Are you considering both "métro one" and "near Montmartre" "right in the center" or do you consider the Montmartre one to be out of the way and thus possibly eliminated?
