Seeking Best Chinese Food In Paris

Seeking best Chinese food in Paris Posted 25 October 2005
I've been asked by friends to recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Paris. Though I was recently there, it was not a cuisine that I sought out. Does anyone know of a particularly good Chinese restaurant in Paris? Also, where would you recommend for incredible French onion soup?
Thanks,
maiea

Although there are many upscale Chinese restaurants in Paris, your friend couldn't do better than to go to Chinatown in the 13th. The two main drags are Avenue de Choisy and Avenue d'Ivry, both of which are filled with eating establishments. (The area is a quick metro ride from central Paris on the number 7.)
There's an article on Chinatown in the Washington Post at http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 02285.html
If your friend doesn't want to go to Chinatown, on our trips to Paris my beloved and I always have one or two dinners at Le Petite Dragon on rue St. Paul in the Marais. It's just a modest neighborhood place, but it nevertheless has terrific food.

the restaurant Tien Hiang is the one you're gonna life. It combines chinese food with vegetarian food.

At Chez Yang Go they have menus in English, but as most Chinese restaurants are closed on Monday.
They are at Rue des Roses (77) Servon.

Chez Vong‎, 10, Rue Grande Truanderie, 75001 Paris, France‎ - 01 40 26 09 36‎. All Chinese restaurants sound the same, they are different, though.

It's not Chinese, it's Thai - try Sala Thai, 13 rue des Freres d'Astier de la Vigerie.

As the best chinese restaurant in Paris, I would definitely recommend DIEP 53 rue Pierre Charon in the 8th Arrondissement.

From what i have heard, there are some pretty good Asian restaurants in Paris, they just have to be searched though. But I'm sure your effort will not be put into vain once you taste delectable and authentic Asian cuisine. One good Chinese restaurant that I have heard of is Chez Vong. Though the price may be a it high, the food is unmatched. Plus you get to stay in a very cozy and relaxing ambiance.

A very good, unpretentious place is Mirama, on the rue St. Jacques. It is located a couple of blocks south of the Seine, not far from Notre Dame. Best is the shrimp dumpling noodle soup for starters (you can get a large serving which is enough for a whole meal).
