17 Hour Layover In Paris - What To Do?

17 hour Layover in Paris - what to do? Posted 28 July 2010
I will have a 17 hour layover at CDG on a Wednesday night in September. I haven't been to Paris in 15 years and my husband has never been. We would love to take the train into the city, grab a late dinner, walk around and see some sights at night, sleep for a couple hours in a modest but clean hotel, then grab breakfast at a cafe, maybe a little more walking and then back to the airport for a 1:40PM flight.

What area of Paris do you think we should stay in? Thanks for the help!

go to Notre-Dame and Saint-Germain up to le Panthéon.

you have a connection between CDG and Cluny la Sorbonne which is great.
walk around, have a good dinner (buy a guidebook before you go for addresses, you can always use it again on a future trip) and then sleep in a centrally located hostel or ion a hotel in district 9 (cheap and quite centrally located although not super fancy and not upscale at all).
