Hi everyone,
I have a small dilemna. I am married and currently live in canada. I also have 2 children, 4 years and 9 months old.
I have recently been offered a job in Paris for a 2 year period (24 months) for a salary of 5000 euros net/month.
Now, I know how expensive Paris is so I was wondering is that salary is enough to live off in a 70~90 m2 apartment.

maybe it is dollar canadian???

in central paris, for a 30m2, you can pay 650 euro
with 60m2 i think it s 1000 euro

but paris is not very expensive as you can think.
there is a lot of cheaper supermarket big with a various choice !!!
and you can eat fresh fruit very cheaperless

and for the accomodation, everything is at 55 euro per month inllimited !!!

in my experience flats are a little more expensive than Sophie has quoted. I would expect to pay 1500 Euros a month for the size of apartment you are looking in a nice area in Paris. It gets cheaper for the suburbs. Since you are only there for a short time it may be good to look at furnished flats, for maybe 100-200 Euros more per month.
Living costs on top of that aren't extensive, except if you go out. A beer can easily be 8 Euros and dinner starts around 30 with no limit at the top.
In general however, with 5000 Euros at your disposal, it should all be manageable,
