For English speaking people mainly, but also for all foreign people, you will find accommodations and jobs in FUSAC (France-USA Contacts), a free newspaper that you will be able to find in all the English shops (e.g. WHSmith, by rue de Rivoli, near Place de la Concorde).

Ive lived in paris on/off fince 2006, my advice is to try and get an apartment direct from the owner (overwise you will jump through too many hoops with agenecies), typcially agencies ask for guarantee, 1 months depsoit + 1 months commission and 3 months rental in your bank account.
Hey Dima! I don't think you need to find a company to help you find a cheap place to stay. If you're planning to stay for a couple of days or weeks then there are actually some cheap but decent hotels where you can stay. I actually came across this site which lists some of the best accommodation in Paris but at the same time very affordable. Here's the site: http://ellaparis.com/paris-guide/paris- ... paris.html. Hope that helps!
