YOHJI YAMAMOTO
Paris' Musée de la Mode gives carte blanche to Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. On the first floor of the exhibition, Yamamoto's Tokyo studio, complete with rolls of fabric, sketches and works in progress, has been recreated. While on the second floor, a retrospective look at his designs from the 1980s to the present unfolds against a stark background. Some pieces pay tribute to the great designers, including Balenciaga and Dior, yet all could only be from the hand of Yamamoto.
