Has anyone seen Pelléas et Mélisande?

I have booked tickets at the opera to see Pelléas et Mélisande for my girlfriends birthday, I was wondering if anyone has seen this and knows what to expect? I have never been to an opera before, I'm hoping I will enjoy it! It looks dramatic and stunning in a promotional video I watched online.
