Fasting - A Good Way For Maintaing Your Health

Fasting - a good way for maintaing your health Posted 11 October 2008
Fasting is an abstention from eating products of animal origin, such as meat, diary products, eggs etc. Fasting is related to religion and it is believed that the soul becomes cleaner when one keeps fasting. But, you can forget about religion and take fasting as a diet. Why not? Consuming more vegetables and fruits will clean up your body from unnecessary substances. You can do that, for example, two-three times a week. In the beginning it'll be a little bit tough, but with time, you'll notice that your health improved.

I personally see no big difference between fasting and eating vegetarian food. Same rules, it's just that fasting motivates it religously, while vegetarina food is considered to be better for health, that's all.

People, don't get too much fond of fasting. Remember, te organism needs substances contained in meat in diary products. Your health will never be stable if you disregard this rule.

It is believed that fasting cleans the soul. Some Christians keep the tradition and fast on Wednesdays and Fridays. They believe this will strengthen the way to heaven.

so fasting means you are not allowed to eat livestock and diary products. OK, now tell me please - what if one evening before the next fasting day you eat a chicken, and it happened so that a piece of meat got stuck in your teeth, and early in the morning when the fasting day starts, that piece of meat simply falls and you swallow it. What next? Is it considered as an "infringement" in fasting?

CAI, that's a very detailed approach from your part. Remember, fasting is not a rule, fasting is first and foremost with your mind and soul. If you broke some rules by chance this doesn't mean you broke the entire fasting.
