Look up info on the "passages"... I think you can google for "passages couvert". These are like the "original" malls, in that they are quaint/chic halls with opaque ceilings, and small shops, boutiques, cafes inside.
The Seine cruises are enclosed.
Department stores, including the hardware dept in the basement of BHV (ie. drawer pulls, house number tiles, wine stoppers, etc).
Movies - in French or in American (look for US films with "vo" on the adv.).
Bundle up and walk the big gardens anyway, and cross a bridge or two.
Meditate, say a prayer for someone, while sitting in some of the churches, look at the stained glass. Go to an organ recital, or one of the classical concerts at St Chapelle.
Stop in a cafe often, coffees, wine, beers, a snack, people-watch from your cosy table.
Ride some of the central-line buses around town. |
