| Any problems using internet apartment rental agencies? |

| I am being cautious and using an agency to rent an apartment for three months. I am also being asked to pay in advance as it is a large amount of money. What precautions should I take for renting an apartment I havent seen, sending money to someone I am not sure exists, and ensuring that I can negotiate with any problems after paying up front. I have found nothing negative on any websites about the short term rental system - I assume the system is place is along the lines of, when in Paris ........ I am interesting in positive (which I am sure most of it is) and negative feedback. |

| We just returned from Paris. We rented an apartment from vacationinparis.com and had no problems whatsoever. I met someone who rented from NewyorkHabitat.com and they were pleased with their apartment. |
